Duquette Pines Real Estate

Duquette Pines consists of a total of 175 lots with Four Divisions of the Sub along with 9 Out Parcel lots.  The community borders national Forest lands and has many beautiful pine-covered mountain views.  Great road access year-round and close to Idaho City for conveniences.

    There are 36 lots in Division Three  
    Division Four has 65 lots, of which fifteen of them qualify to hook into the community water system.

How Duquette Pines got its name. As the new owners of the old ranch, Loyal and Barbara, sought out to find a suitable name for their new development and stumbled across the name "Duquette" from some of the older residents of Idaho City.

During the Civil War, Oliver A. Duquette was a French Canadian who immigrated to Nevada to seek a fortune in mining. Duquette learned the miners weren’t the ones striking gold it was the merchants who supplied the miners, therefore he shifted to supplying miners with beef, vegetables and fruit. His homestead was purchased in 1929 by the Hall family and consolidated 3 homesteads into one making it 480 acre ranch.

In 1884 the Idaho Territory History publicized Duquette Ranch as the first mineral patented homestead in Idaho. The Willsies and Reinharts decided that the development should be named after the pioneers who established the ranch.

Today the subdivision consists of both full-time and part-time resident families.  Duquette offers a wide variety of resale homes of various ages and size, many of them custom.  There are a number of available build lots that are available for sale at any given time and allow you to bring your own builder.
