Crouch History

A 1951 picturesque mountain town built on a community of diversity and history and bordering Garden Valley. Once home to the French explorers establishing a powerful presence and leaving behind fur-bearings. Following the fur trade, hearty miners resided on a quest for gold and accommodated troops of the first Civilian Conservation Corps.

During the midst of the nation's economic crisis, a sunken economy and homesick troops, the town of Crouch was built and officially established in 1934 by the completion of a post office then incorporated as a City in 1954. The attraction of the area grew more and moreover the years as a quiet and serene return to the glory of nature yet. Situated about an hour outside of Boise. The area offers a lot of outdoor activities for the adventurous, even a golf course.
